Klassisk Moderne Møbelkunst (Modern Furniture Classics) at 3, Bredgade, and Dansk Møbelkunst (Danish Furniture Art), at no 32, are specialty stores for architect-designed furniture by internationally acclaimed Danish artists such as Hans J. Wegner, Børge Mogensen, Arne Jacobsen, Finn Juhl, Ole Wanscher, Kaare Klint, and Poul Kjærholm.

Major auction houses
In Bredgade, you will also find some of the city’s premier auction houses frequented by an international clientele of art and antiques collectors in search for world-class paintings, antiques, vintage wines, modern art and design.

The Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers at 33, Bredgade, and the Ellekilde Auktionshus at no. 25, are among the established auction houses. CopenArt, at 65, Bredgade, is a newly opened establishment determined to challenge and update the perception of what a modern auction house should be.

Galerie MIKAEL ANDERSEN, at no 63, has changing exhibits of Danish and international contemporary art. Bredgades Kunsthandel, specializing in Classic Modernism and contemporary art, has more than 200 Danish artists represented in the gallery. Bredgades Kunsthandel is located at no. 67.

Galleri Christoffer Egelund, at no. 75, has a younger profile than many other Bredgade galleries. Last but not least, Galerie Asbæk at no. 23, is one of Copenhagen’s most prestigious galleries.
