The Bakkehus Museum

The Bakkehus Museum is a literary and cultural history museum focusing on the Danish Golden Age.

Discover the authentic home of Kamma and Knus Lyne Rahbek, decorated with furniture, pictures and other items associated with the literary interested couple who owned the place from 1802 to 1830. In the early 1800, their home was the gathering point for future key figures such as Adam Oehlenschläger, B.S. Ingemann, H.C. Andersen and H.C. Ørsted, and the museum gives you a vivid idea of the cultural and literary environment in the Golden Age.
