Scandic Copenhagen Hotel**** - Individual check in The Nordic hotel chain operates nine hotels in the Copenhagen area all of which are certified with The Swan, the Nordic eco labeling system.
In 1993, Scandic started developing what has become the industry's leading sustainability programme. The aim for the chain is to be CO2-neutral in 2025.
Scandic not only has effective energy usage and serves organic foods. When its sheets, towels and furniture are replaced they are donated to local shelters for the homeless. Scandic has, among other awards, received the IMEX Green Meetings Award in 2010 and the Nordic Council Environment Prize in 2011. |

The lunch will include an introduction to the Danish Sustainable Events Initiative (DSEI) by Mr. Steen Jacobsen, Convention Director at Wonderful Copenhagen CVB. The DSEI is related to the “greening” and ISO certification of the Danish EU Presidency in 2012.
Mogens Dahl Concert Hall in Copenhagen, is not only the first privately run concert hall for classical music and conferences in Denmark. It is also eco-friendly and viable.
The building is more than a century old and was originally built as a horse stable which in 2004, was restored and modernized it into both an intimate and elegant Concert Hall and conference building featuring Danish design and climate friendly solutions, including climate friendly food. The venue is also a member of the Klima+ network. |

We will go to the rooftop of Bella Center to “harvest” our own honey from the BC's “Bee-hives” and learn more about the venue’s "Sustainability Awareness" initiative. This will be followed by a tour of the new Bella Sky Comwell hotel - Scandinavia's largest designer hotel inaugurated in May 2011 and located right next door. |
